ebuyer have a 300w psu for around £10, this seems very cheap, is it really capable of the power it says it is???

Sparkle make great PSU with adjustable pot's so if your rails drop to much then you can adjust it higher and they make them very quiet.

Great. A decent PSU is an important part of your system, you'll rely on it.

I hope you get a good one, mine gave up before I got to install anything on it :) well, I hope it's the power supply thats gone and not my motherboard...*sigh*..sadly both bought from Ebuyer.
If given the choice again i'd save up a lil' extra for some better stuff.

You'll regret it, and only end up buying a better one anyway once that blows after the 10th boot. I just pray you don't blow a component in the process.

the only reason i'm even considering getting an ebuyer(own brand) psu is because the budget is being strained as it is and i need stuff as cheaply as possible

Yeah, forget it. Get a nice Macron or Enermax 400w.

a good psu will always keep each line above its specified power thus stopping crashes.

*sigh* Ebuyer arn't the only online componant shop, search other websites but don't buy that PSU, have you already got a case but didn't get a PSU or are you going to buy them seperately?? probably best to buy a £50+ case with a PSU, should be fine.
I'm having quite a few problems with my PSU though, also bought from Ebuyer..tis'nt doing what it should.
