I am going to go throught latest news in the gaming.

PSP is going very well as usual, with a number of exploits and hacks, as usaual. There is now for the first time ever, a portable modchip for the PSP, and it's called Undiluted Platinum! What does it do? It's a small flash replacement which allows the use of previous flash updates or custom firmware builds, opening up the possibility to run unsigned homebrew code on even the latest PSP systems.

In other news hit T.V show Lost is confirmed to come to all consoles, evem portable. The game will be developed by Ubisoft's Montreal studios.
"With our Montreal studios involved you can expect an extremely high level game," said Pascal Bonnet, director of licensing for Ubisoft "'Lost' is a hit all over the world and we want to bring the 'Lost' universe to the next level." There is also going to be first time a real Metal Gear Solid game for the PSP, name Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. It's based on a sequal to the PS2 game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Plot goes along the lines of how Big Boss formed Fox Hound, and what else took place during the time period.

PS3 is going to hit the shelves November 17th 2006, confirmed by Sony. For those of you who have been living under a rock, the PS3 will cost £425. According to a job posting on CraigsList today That Game Company is looking for "a superstar engineer with a strong graphics background to develop an unannounced downloadable title for the PlayStation 3 launch in November."
intendo's Miyamoto is not happy with Sony copying there controllers motion senser. But sadly, Sony plan back fired leaving Sony with no rumble.

WII is confirmed to cost less than $250 (£130). You can get an Xbox 360 and Nintendo WII for less than a PS3. But I personally am getting a WII and PS3 on launch day. Nintendo have also said they will have six million units systems by March 31st, 2007. Alongside that, they expect to ship 17 million Wii games.

If none of you have heard or seen it, there is also trailer for the new Smash Bros game for the WII called Smash Bros. Brawl. In the trailer for the game there was a big suprise, Solid Snake (from the Metal Gear Solid series)!!!! He was wearing his costume from Metal Gear Solid 2. For more information on this and even a trailer go here. The WII-Mote is also rumored to have a built in mic.

DS is starting homebrew on us, with various different add on ons. Now theres the SuperCard for GBA/DS, which has the following features:

* Play both GBA games (.GBA) and NES, GB, PCE, SMS/GG with out additional software!
* See movies (.gbs .gbm), read E-books, play music, see pictures and more.
* Super Game Cheat system.
* Real Time Save - save your games instantly when ever you like it.
* Four button reset to main menu.
* Supports compression.
* Supports semi-multitasking - switch between running game and other software without quitting the game.
* Game time: 5-6 h with GBA SP (with stock battery).
* FAT file system.
* Compatible with SD Memory Cards.
* Fast transfers, transfer 64M in approx. 5 sec.
* Uses standard SD memory.
* Possible to store up to 32Gbit (4Gbyte) on one single SD card.
* Unlimited storage capacity, just use more/bigger SD cards.
* SD memory cards can be used for other equipment like digital cameras.
* GBA, GBA SP, GBM, and NDS compatible.

Also the New Super Mario 480,000 copies in the first day. Will DS beat and become PSP? Who knows whats next.

Sadly, I have no news for Xbox 360. But I can tell that Microsoft is in danger no matter what the price.

We should all be worried, apparently the video game industry is doomed, it's true, Dringo said so.

Just face up to facts pb. Microsoft, that small $300 billion company we bought our 360s from, is going into freefall and will pull out of the console race when it has a 25% market share of an entertainment sector worth $30 billion annually.

In one country and at a time when they're having difficulty shipping.

It's a bit like the European sales figures for the PS2 the other Christmas when they couldn't get the consoles.

I think the point is that the Japanese aren't keen on buying foreign when it comes to games consoles.

Still, early days yet. The main thing is that Microsoft is happy with their console and that plenty of their customers are too. At the end of the day some platforms suit some people better than others, depending on the types of game available.

It's a quite well known fact that the Japanese aren't as fond of FPS games as other genres, mainly due to cultural difference between us and them. They aren't as fond of things going kablewy and people with their guts on the floor as we are.

Kudos on the well thought out, intelligent reply there though

This comment stinks of poo. Another reason is that MS have taken onboard too few game creators relying on Sakaguchi-san again and again in press conferences, despite only have two games in the pipeline, neither of which are in the traditional RPG setting.
