When first using the 8mb memory card I formatted it and the space went down to 7998. I saved Timesplitters(115), RR5(413) and TTT(352) there is also a system file(5) altogther they equal 7,111kb Saved some timesplitters maps then deleted the file from the memory card broswer total now 7110 it should be 7111. But 5+115+352+413 = 885. 8000-885 = 7115 iam losing 5k. It doesnt really bother me too much but what happens when I delete a unwanted file will I lose another 1k or maybe 2k. which means after time will the storage of thecard become 7500k for example.
It's probably similar to saving files on a disk, whereby a few bytes are taken up by file headers. The more you save, the more space you lose. Nothing to worry about, though.
