I have a friend who works full time. He spends most of his mones on consoles/games. He has a dreamcast with 30+ games, and he now has a PS2 - okay you get the idea.
So a few evenings a week, several of us ( 3-6 ) gather at his house and play the latest multiplayer games for hours on end. Doesn't cost me a penny, sweet huh?
Now I may be wrong, but I'd hazard a guess that an awful lot of console gamers do a similar thing (ie gather at one venue and beat the snot outta each other ) which certainly isn't antisocial.
However, I reckon PC gamers are more likely to be loners. How often do you see a group of people huddled around a PC? I can count the number of times I've seen it happen on a blind butcher's hand.
Internet gaming....I suppose that *sort of* counts as socialising....hmmm....I'll think about that.
But when my mates do come over it's always perfect dark or Super smash bros! and loads of food! fat b's
