Arnold, the Aubergine, enjoys nothing more than to lie in his hammock in the sun all day. He is, as the scientific term calls, a “Lazy Aubergine”. He never leaves his hammock for anything. Not to eat, not to use the toilet- hell, he can’t even do any of that stuff, being an Aubergine and all.
He also likes the rain every now and then. What he doesn’t like is when the neighbours’ cats stare at him from on top of the wooden fence. They always hiss at Arnold and tease him.
“You lazy Aubergine” They’d say. “How come you are not like the other Aubergine, who seem so lively and have so much fun? You have no purpose whatsoever!” This makes Arnold a really sad Aubergine.
To be fair, he hasn’t always been this lazy. Oh no, he was born a very athletic Aubergine actually. He used to always do back flips, front flips and hand stands among many other things. But one day, poor little Arnold injured himself by accidentally banging his head on a door, and his Cerebral Cortex went all funny. Ever since then, he has been a lazy Aubergine.
