Forever ending
This ephemeral life
Forever wanting
No meaning
No future
No lasting mark upon the earth
Just a moment that will last
And be forgotten
And if this moment, with no meaning, I can use for something good
Then let all your pain be taken upon me
Let all your tears be shed for life
And I will carry every burden you ever face
Just to hear your voice again
One last time
To know you'll be ok
In the moment you have been given
And I will spend the rest of my life in tortured heaven
Knowing that I found you
Knowing you can go and smile
And may you find someone to spend your life with
May you find someone to love with
To enjoy the world with
And I will know every pain I feel
Every moment I want to die but cannot
Has been cast in pure heart
And whilst we will not last forever
In this ephemeral life
I will know for just one moment
I helped the one person I truly cared about
To live
To love
To spend their moment with a smile
So take from me everything
Take from me my every pleasure
If you can just let her live
And I will smile for this lasting moment
And no strain will break me
Nothing left will hurt me
And I will live until I die
Carrying her every weight
And nobody would ever know
Because I would smile with tears of joy
Knowing I could give her this
