These are the games that I would say are must have for the N64

Conkers bad fur day
Zelda : Ocarina of Time
Mario Kart
Mario 64
Micro Machines (only for multiplayer)
WWF Wrestlemania
Mario Tennis (quality Multiplayer)
Goldeneye/Perfect Dark
Excitebike
Mortal Kombat 4

Thats all i can think of for now.

Racing - Rush 2, Extreme G
Adventure - Zelda, Castlevania
Platform - Mario 64
Fighting - Super Smash Bros
First Person Shooter - Goldeneye, Turok Rage Wars
Football - ISS 98

The only genres I can remember, and the best for each one from my recollection.

If it were me I'd buy as many of the first 10 games on the SR chart as I could afford and then anything with the word 'Zelda' in it. (But then I'm an RPG fan).

just go into a place like game and you can probably get a pound lucky dip of 20 games a shot :D after about £20 you'll have allmost all the games available for it including the best ones (POKEMON SNAP HURRAY!! :D )

Racing- Star Wars Episode one racer
RPG- Zelda
Platformer- Mario 64, banjo kazooie or banjo tooie
funny- conker

the n64 is still a wicked console and is now available more cheaply then ever. definatly get one if thats what you want :)
