2 things spring to mind.
1. How the hell can we teach a bird to fly? we can't fly without planes or handglyders.
2. We are one step closer to becoming gods and hence the most superior creature/race in the world.

I get the feeling that bird was just.. trying to keep up, so flew to move faster.
