So, I'm in AIT-land (Advanced Individual Training) now and it's a lot like living in a dorm and going to college. We've got more freedom's to wander around the base and eat lickies and chewies to our hearts content. I've got another ten weeks and then Uncle Sam sends me where ever he needs me. Makes me want more chewies..
I hope everyone is doing well! Missed ya'll! :)

Hmm..finding that hard to believe. Still seems like a lot of the same crap with some new features..
My last post sounds friggen upitty and vain. Pft. I'm going to take a long hot shower and hide under my blanket until someone screams over the intercom for everyone to come downstairs to formation. *sighs* I've got a stomach ache.. :o(

I anticipated it would be a physical challenge for me, especially since I sat behind a desk living the latent executive lifestyle for so many years and hadn't run any, except to the break room to fill my coffee mug through the day.

I don't plan on dying any time soon, especially with my newly acquired combative techniques and rifle marksmanship skills. My endurance has improved remarkably, as well. :)
I keep thinking, I never would've imagined myself shooting a gun a couple of years ago.. as a matter of fact, I cried the first time I shot my M16 here, I was so afraid of it. Now, I can shoot a weapon with expertise. I'm no longer afraid, just really amazed! :) The whole process has prepared me for whatever comes and I can say I'm ready. Talk laters! :)
Glad to hear things are working out well for you. Must be a hell of a challenge for you, and you're right, I think something like this would suit you down to the ground.
Don't get killed now, and good luck in getting your time down!
Wow, sounds like you've hit the jackpot on the career move- WELL DONE!

Just trying to balance one's rockstar lifestyle with a mountain of coursework and essays and other meaningless crap =P
*ahem*

Hiya Alfonse, you sexy beast you. :P *hugs* What have you been up to?? <3
I was on the fence for about a year before I finally decided to do it, especially because I was concerned about what impact it would have on my kids being away for so long. But, I know they'll be okay and that their father loves them and will take good care of them while I'm away. I'm really so glad I've joined and my kids are really proud of me. Makes me smile. I kind of wish I had done it much sooner.
Right now, I'm trying really hard to get my run time down 30 seconds more so I can apply for Airborne school. Jumping out of planes isn't something I thought I'd ever do, but it certainly puts adrenalin in what's been a numbing life for many years.
What have you been up to??? I've missed talking to you! :) *hugs*
