DavyBoy; Would you by any chance live in Devon and play in a bluesy band?

Oh yes she does rock indeed.

I have to treat her with the respect she deserves.

Yeah, quite suprising actually coz wen u c other guitars with a gold finish they just look incredibly tacky! Fender strat 4 xample.

One of the most stunning axes i have seen is Steve Vai's custom build 3 necker guitar. the special thing about this is that because the necks are all at different angles and facing in different directions, he can play all 3 necks @ the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think he taps 1, and alternates between strumming with a rigged capo and tapping the other or something. mazin.

Lawless; Heh. I'm outstandingly chuffed that you like 'Valium'.
The title is basically ironic, as valium as you probably know
is a form of trippy sedative, kinda like prozac, and the song
itself is pretty loud (apart from maybe the intro).
The name the Social Hermits is.....well, hell knows where its
from. Its sort of contradictory, cos a hermit is somebody who
doesn't make contact with anybody, so a social hermit is.....um..

Deep, huh?
We've just recorded another one of our songs which might be posted on that sit sometime soon.

I like 'Valium', you gave me the link once before. Where the hell did you associate valium with the song though?

And what the hell are social hermits? Interesting concept...in other words, a money-making idea :P

I only have 4 guitars:

Epiphone Gibson Flying V (First Guitar) - Dark Blue with custom lightning effect
Gibson Les Paul Standard - Black
Gibson Les Paul Classic - Cherry Sunburst (Favourite Axe!)
Fender Stratocaster with high distortion humbuckers - White (Brand New)

As you can tell, apart from the Flying V all of my guitars have been bought for me a Christmas and birthday presents!!!!!! I couldn't afford anything like that lot!

These are my favourite effect pedals:

Dunlop Crybaby
Marshall Guv'nor
Marshall Jackhammer
Dunlop "Jimi Wah"
Morley fuzz pedal

I have a talk-box aswell but i don't use it much, just for a bit of fun now and again!

Amp? Marshalls of course! (2 Marshall "Stacks") Not sure what model though.

Anybody here use a Gordon Smith? My m8 has the Gypsy 2 Model. Bit average i think.

My dad plays the guitar, and he has been doing-so for years now.
He's also been in quite a few bands too, and they've all been with virtualy the same people - bar one.

He's also got a whole room full of guitars and guitar stuff.
That room alone must be worth THOUSANDS!!! :D
So if we ever came into financial problems, there's a simple answer lying somewhere in the house.... but he wouldn't be so willing to part with his beloved instruments!

Me? Well i've never been interested in playing!
He's been trying to get me into it for the last.... 10 years or so, but i've alwasy said no. The memories of him waking up early in the morning and blasting noise out through his amps always used to annoy me and has pretty much put me off.

He doesn't understand why I don't like them though.
He says to me "Why not???? You like guitar music...."

Meh.... :)

Ibanez RG550 (Black)
Washburn acoustic

Marshall Valvestate AVT 2000 100W 3 Channel combo with DFX

Jim Dunlop Crybaby
Marshall ‘Guv’nor’ (Don’t use it much nowadays)
BOSS BF-2 Flanger

My crybaby is on it’s way out though, I’m looking at the PW-10 V-Wah that BOSS just came up with. Supposed to be the nuts.

Been playing about 14 years.
