I reacently rented Crash Bandicoot for the PS2, and noticed that it had hurrendously long and loud loading times; anyone else found this, and has anyone played it on the x-box, does the x-box version have the same prob?

Also I was in my local Dixons today and they had the gamecube, ps2 and x-box all running the same game; I think it was the new EA football game; anyway back to the point, basically I have to say that I thought as looks go -
x-box 1st
gamecube 2nd
ps2 3rd

speed -
All equal

smoothness
ps2 & x-box neckaneck
Gamecube - a tiny bit jerky @ times.

Anyway just thought I'd make you aware of my observation - Tara!

The speeds of the console are not all equal- the PS2 lags behind because it was released so long ago. But developers have had more experience on it, so it's not such a bad thing. However, who cares? Surely you care more about the games?

Anyway, when the PS2 came out, retailers had the same game (DOA3) running on both consoles side by side... except because the DC version is better, they swapped the wires!

I had Crash Bandicoot on the PS2 and my friend recently got it on his X-Box. I didn't bother with it for the X-Box cause I didn't really get into it much on the PS2. The loading times are much better on the X-Box and plus they've even added the neat little touch of being able to see the character's fur with a little improvement in the graphics. Still the same game overall though.

Basically the latest Crash Bandicoot game was produced by Universal and they have made a complete ar5e of it. The loading times are nothing to do with the console it is on, it is basically poor programming.

As for the EA game you saw - presumably FIFA World Cup - keep away fom it - whichever console it is on!
