Go there and press play on the flash thing. Pirate-Goblin metal, it's bizarre but brilliant.
Heard of Alestorm, Moose? They're a Pirate Power Metal band from Scotland, and were great supporting Turisas; could have met them at the Afterparty, but I was utterly knackered and left before the bands turned up.
(Ok, Running Wild have been doing the whole Pirate thing since the 80s, but I've not heard much from them...)
As for other newer/more mainstream stuff, I don't mind some stuff by Trivium as they seem to be heading in a bit of an 80s Metallica direction (Take note, I don't say 80s Thrash, as there's much variety there). I was pretty impressed by Mastodon at Reading '06 and whilst waiting for Megadeth to come on to UEA's stage, Job for a Cowboy were also rather impressive (Openers Evile less so).
But as for the likes of 'Sevenfold, with increasingly juvenile pop-rock vocals and so forth, no thanks.

Killswitch are one of they few bands who make this music fun IMO.
I have seen them twice and thought they were great.Loud,Brutal and aggressive yet never appearing to take themselves too seriously.I have seen tonnes of metal acts and Killswitch were the one I can honestly say I enjoyed the most.
Saying that,If you don't like this kind of music the chances are you won't care for them.
And so is Killswitch, to a lesser extent.
