as most of us know (or some individuals) that pcs are far better than consoles. here are a few examples:
A: the games are chaeper
B: you can do your homework on it
C: you can use the internet
D: you don't need a telly to use it
and so on. People are spending far too much money on consoles when they could be buying a decent 3D card or a sound system. The PS2 for example, sure it has a DVD player and has good games. So what! you can have the same for a little extra and you can get more.
so don't waste your money on consoles, get a pc or get a life.
ps. If you think this is s***, don't blame me, it is my second attempt.(my first was...don't bother asking.)

whatever you say m8, whatever you say. By the sound of things, it sounds like you are the one who needs to get a life!

Personally, I would agree with you if we're only talking about single player games here, or internet games. As it's pretty much essential for most people to have a PC these days anyway, that makes sense.
However, where consoles really shine is when you have a group of friends around a telly, kicking the stuffing out of each other on Soul Calibur, or Halo. This is what gaming should really be about, and PC's can't really do that.
PC gaming is great to pass the time, but multiplayer console gaming is on another level altogther.

PC's are ok, until you use them til the bitter end and they really must be updated, then when you buy new hardware, you find it's not compatable with your obsolete motherboard or something.

I am a PC gamer aswell as a console gamer and this is attacking the wrong direction.
PC's DO cost alot more than games (notice games) consoles.
PC's also do not have the same sort of 'athmosphere' in multiplayer gaming as consoles. Unless you are playing in a gaming cafe you can't lean back and say 'GOT YA!!!'
Consoles (excluding the X-box) are alot more portable than PC's.
Also one major problem with PC's is that they require constant baby sitting. Defraging everymonth. Constant Virus protection. And a new piece of hardware every 6 months.
As far as i see it is worth getting a half decent PC that can play most modern games and a Gamecube.
They offer totally different gaming experinces and together they don't cost the earth.

No offence, but I've made a habit recently of trying to guess whether the thread has been started by a regular or a newbie.
When the thread has a title like "pcs are the best. (you console freaks!)" then that only gets easier.

the thing I detest about consoles is split screen multi-player games, which is most of them. what games other than straight beat-em-ups and soccer games games can you have simultaneous multi-player gaming without split-screen?
