Firstly, I've just got back from Special Reserve (among a few other shops) and noticed that my nearest SR store doesn't have a GameCube display stand, and that I couldn't find any shops that did. The only shop I found with a healthy ammount of GameCube games/information was Comet, where I picked up a GameCube information disc. I just wondered if there was a problem with the GameCube on display or something, because it seems a bit weird that no shops I found had one. Ah well, it's only the second day. On the plus side, I got to play the excellent Wreckless: Yakuza Missions and Halo on X-Box and Star Wars: Pod Racer (or whatever it's called) on the PS2.

Anyway, back onto the topic point, I got a GameCube information disc, and I must say that's it's very decent indeed.

System
---------------

System Overview - In here is some information about the disc and controller's uniqueness.

Tech Specs - Some very interesting specifications of the console, not that we never knew them anyway ;D

Accessories - Firstly, we see a Firebird Wireless Controller, which has a range of 10 meters, which is coming soon. There is a 4MB memory card, and an add-on, which allows you to use 64MB of the GC's memory! RGB cable is there, the Game Boy Advance (which can be connected to the GameCube for you with specialist games) and a 56k/broadband adapter for online play. We knew most of it, but it was interesting nonetheless.

Wallpaper - Has some cool controller/console wallpapers, one of which is now on my desktop ;D

Games
--------------

Here, there are long video clips and extensive photos of the following games:

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
Wave Race Blue Storm
More Nintendo Gaming Adventure (Features Super Monkey Ball, Simpsons Road Rage, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2, Crazy Taxi and a few more. The voice which says "Game-a-cube" gets very annoying).
ISS 2 International Superstar Soccer 2
Luigi's Mansion
NBA Courtside 2002
Pikmin
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 2
Super Smash Bros Melee
Star Fox Adventures

I'm glad I picked up this disc, as it is very interesting, and for the 8cm-disc that it is, contains a lot of information (not for use in a GameCube ;D). If you haven't your mind made up yet about the GameCube, or just want to see what games they have to offer, pick up this disc from your local games shop (hopefully ;D) and watch it...over and over again ;D

So you just walked into Comet and picked one up, eh??
Were they free or did you have to buy something to get one?

I like the sound of them - have to get me one!
