The other day i got the PS2 for an early birthday present along with 2 games - Tekken Tag and MGS2. The only problem is that I haven't got a memory card. I looked in loads of mags but couldn't find the price. (My computer had to be fixed so i coldn'y go on the net). So finally I asked my friend how much they were and he told me.....25 QUID!!! I know it's a PS2 and it's amazing but that's very poor! I've got £15 quid and one guy who's gonna explode...ME! PSone memory cards only cost around £3, so why do PS2 ones cost so much!!!!?

They just do.

You're getting a far better deal than soon-to-be Gamecube owners though, so don't worry too much.

Because,

They are 8Mb in size and store a hell of a lot of data

They are the same as Sony memory sticks which are a very fast and portable storage device, and such quality comes with a price tag

thay are about 16 times the size of a GC memory card which costs £15

So stop whining....

When the PSx memory cards were first released they were expensive then but as they've managed to sell so many the price has come down.

The PS2 was going to be exactly the same, I also don't think that £25 for a memory card isn't that expensive when you consider the amount of game information you can store on it.

I think I've got about 20 odd games information stored on one memory card and it's only about half full or empty (whichever way you look at it).

Unless you buy WWF SD3 which takes up almost half the disc you'll be ok for a while, save up or borrow the extra £10 and go and get one.

The thing is they hold so much info that you will probably only ever need one.

I got an official one from Dixons in January for 17.99 - It pays to look around !

Hehe, I'd be shocked if I get votes this time around, none of these newbies have a grasp of my intellectual talents and abilities, thay are mere mortals. You know the truth, that is why you hide under your fur.....
