What do you people have against Heskey he is a great player why do you hate him?

i had lunch with heskey in 1997 before leicester won the worthington cup final against middlesborough

there is nothing wrong with heskey he is a quality player and he is english you should be proud of english players not slaging them off

NO! Beckaham is class.

There are better forwards in the Premiership, unfortunately none of them are English! Lets face it, if Van Nistelrooy, Henry, Hasselbaink or any of the rest of them were English, they would be in the team.

Heskey is an average forward. He is good physically, but is not a good goalscorer. His first touch could still be better, and for a big man he is not particularly brilliant in the air.

However, he does do a job for the team, and we don't have anyone who is particularly better. Considering he plays with Owen week in, week out, he is still probably the best player to play with him.

Until a youngster comes through who can do the job better, maybe Vassell or Defoe, Heskey will continue to play for England.

Well obviously! That's like saying "the only reason Beckam gets in the team is because there is nobody to replace him either". Do you not see? The very fact that there isn't anybody to replace him is testament to his skill, and deserved place in the starting 11.

Heskey is poo! the only good thing he has is strength but then he only uses his strength when he picks himself off the floor after yet another dumb dive.
