Bloomin' eck, they've started already.

That was my response when I saw the ads on my email for sales on Christmas eve. Soon we'll be having them in July.

And, probably due to my visting far too many games retail sites, many of the emails were about Games sales.

I was pleasantly surprised by the offers, too. Ok, so some of the games (Transformers and Spider-man 3 in particular) were on sale for good reason, it's the only way to shift them, but Assassin's Creed for £30? Nice. Plenty of other bargains to be had too.

Of course, I happen to have spent all my money I was due for Christmas on a 360 HD Drive, but I'm still tempted to delve into my emergency fund (which really exists to pay back what I already owe, so I shouldn't).

Anyone else managed to snag a bargain in the sales?

I've got Blue Inc gift cards to spend, so hopefully I can immerse myself into some sales.

Games wise, we got all the major titles as it is :) and as I'm a fair couple of hundred out from getting the PS3 I wanted so badly, I won't tempt myself.

I managed to pick up Command & Conquer 3 on the 360 for £14.99 off Play Boxing Day evening, I quite enjoyed the demo but didn't fancy paying 50 quid to find out if the complete game was like that. Nice little bargin I thought.

On double checking they now seem to have sold out of them or removed the offer.

I was a little bit gutted t'other day. Went into town, which was heaving argh, popped to GAME, saw the queue and left immediately. Then went to Gamestation and picked up Assassin's Creed for £37.99.

Went back to GAME for some reason and saw it was something like £29.99.

Nooooo

Oh well!

The sales have been a bit 'meh' for me - the only bargain I got was TimeSplitters Future Perfect for original Xbox - 98p brand new at Game.

Opposite for me, loads of games, not enough money!

Which means trade-ins again.

Mind you, a new Gamestation has just opened in Exeter, so when I get back I'll go check out trade in on some of my older games...

Argoose have Viva Pinata for a tenner now so I'll probably pick up a copy and find out what it's like. Is there a bad reason why it's so cheap though?
