When the .UK domains became available a few years back they were reserved for the owners of the corresponding co.uk (it could be other uk domains as well but normally co.uk) for 5 years.
I grabbed a few for my clients who were keen to protect their brand from competitors; I made a note to myself to look at registering some others when the 5 year reservation period came to and end - this will be in June 2019 when anyone can grab an unregistered .uk name.
So Freeola's FREE 2 year registration offer is great timing and will take things up to the unlocked free-for-all in 2019. So I've been getting quite a few more registered while I can :¬)
I've had a number of queries with some domains as Nominet have tightened their rules up for domains I registered a long way back. Freeola's newish 'Live Chat' system has worked well for me. Much easier to use than the Ticket system for the queries I've been having.
So if you've got a co.uk domain name and haven't sorted the .uk version out, now's a good time!
