Hi Freeola,
I've just seen your message within MyFreeola regarding domain pricing:

On March 1st, Nominet, the authority for all .UK domain names will increase their cost prices by 50%. Also, we have been holding-down the price of international domains against recent cost increases and a fall in the value of the Pound. We will hold our current prices until Feb 29th. To beat these industry-wide price rises, we recommend that you register, renew or extend your domains before March 1st.

Your prices have been the same for many years...

Can you say what your prices will increase by after the dates you mention?

Thanks,

Hi Hmmm... Sorry for the delay in replying. We don't have confirmation of prices yet I'm afraid but I expect pretty much the same increase across all domain providers.

Thanks Eccles ... glad I renewed when I did then :¬)

EDIT:

Just read this, which has changed during the last 24 hours, :

"On March 1st, the authority for UK domains (.uk, .co.uk, .org.uk and .me.uk) increase their cost prices cost prices by 50%."

Where has the name 'Nominet' gone?

And here is a list of Nominet's new prices which only affect .UK domains and its sub-domains NOT .com which I was originally led to believe from Freeola's initial message :¬(

DL, the price list you linked to is old so has no info on new pricing. Nominet was removed so we could clarify the exact extension that would be seeing a guaranteed price rise and some customers don't know or care who Nominet are.
I believe the second part of the sentence in the announcement has stayed the same but don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger!
All gTLD domains will have price increases at some point. In fact I think .com's have had a 40% or so cost price increase from Verisign (the US registry) in the last 5 years or so. Any domains that trade in USD will be subject to currency fluctuations as well.
