Said visitor counter is within the site menu as a php file provided by Freeola. Until my broadband connection changed to a new tariff it has read 'hits' consistently since 2000. Need I say more ... that's 15 years!
Since the change, last month, it now states 12000 hits less than it did the month before!
The table, within which the code resides, is set to accomodate 99,999 ... as if, but you can only hope! The last reading I saw was 12,167 ... it now reads 178!?
Any comment Freeola?
EDIT:
Looked this morning and the problem still existed. However, looking through my htdocs folder, the 'hits' file had been set to a size of 3!!! All sorted now.
Sorry for the lack of response DL, will try and take a look tomorrow and no, current issues are not the cause of your hits going missing. I wish it was that simple!
Many thanks Eccles ... you've more on your plate than my 'hits' at the moment ... but as I said in my edited post, think I've sorted it ... hopefully :¬)
