Hi,
For all intents and purposes, the Finder on my iMac has all but died. There is now an unbelievably long delay between clicking a folder and the contents being displayed. We're talking minutes.
I am accessing my NAS, but have logged into the NAS on my phone and there is no delay in accessing folders and files.
I have repaired permissions and (internal) disk, and run all maintenance with Tech Tool Pro 7.
I've even done a clean system install from the ground up.
What next?

I've done a whole bucket of Google searches.
I *think* it's Google Drive. I've temporarily uninstalled and things appear to have sped up a bit - although not great.

Not a Mac user myself, but after a quick search it seems this is an issue Apple are aware of. The current solution seems to be one of the following. Either;
a) "Arrange" the finder items differently (no sense as to why this works, but a lot of users reporting success)
or
b) delete the Finder's preferences (.plist) file.
Both of these are being reported as moderately successful workarounds, so probably worth trying.

I'm backing up to do another clean install, bit by bit to see when the lag jumps in.
