I got £300 for my birthday which one of the top consoles should I get my brother tells me I should Playstation 2 but the X Box is just out or wait for the Gamecube also could you help me on what games I should get I might get GTA3 but I know no games for the Gamecube or the X Box can you help me.

I like the Nintendo games I used to have and super nintendo and N64 but I think the Playstation games are far better
