Theres one conflict,however,that is refusing to rest during the holiday season-in fact on-going struggle between sony,Microsoft and Nintendo for the hearts and money of gamers has never raged so fiercely.
Christmas just throws fuel on the flames as the year's best games burst into the shops - there are almost too many options.So this might help you.

When it comes to buying a new console it's always worthwhile looking at the bundles as there's often some very good deals...but be warned there are some dodgy ones too.
What you have to remember is that it's best to use your money to buy quality rather than quantity so don't be fooled by bundles offering a bucket load of peripherals and extra games as you could end up with a load of old tat.Remember there is a reason why some game are so cheap - they're pants and nobody really wants them.

It has largest selection of games - 500 titles.
You can play DVDS straight from the box.
It's the biggest selling out of three main consoles so more of your mates are likely to have one.
why not to get one

You can't play DVDs through SCART, you just get a green image.
Will require add - on before you'll be able to go online.
It's the oldest technology and occasionaly shows it with prickly graphics and slow loading times.
Needs a multi-tap to play four player games.
The best bundle is the one that speacial reserve are doing right now.

The Gamecube already won the console war.
I choose it months ago, I don't need to compare them again, thanks.
And I have some great games.
As do other people that own other consoles.

if ur gonna write a post get it right, the x box isnt th most powerful console, we all know that know, its been tested, in labd by EA, jsut go ask em, the gamecube is .
Lets get this right. Look at the end of a regular scart, and you will see lots of little connector pins. One of these pins is the same as the big yellow video cord on the standard PS2 connecting lead. Like wise for the sound. So the stnadard ps2 wire is not really any different to scart.
The only issue is with RGB on movies. The scart also has 3 pins for RGB video. Breaking the normal picture into 3 provides slightly better colours, but does not effect sharpness, contrast, etc. Sony have put the green screen in their to prevent people making top notch quality copies of movies.
Also, note it's got macrovision. Anyone who has "experimented" in trying to copy a movie onto tape from their ps2 will find the picture keeps jumping around. Again, it's done to stop movie copying (works fine, when the lead is connected directly to your tv for playback only).
You can only use broadband if your local telephone exchange has been upgraded. It's not enough just to have an XBox (or PS2 with BB adaptor) and a regular phone line.
