Just starting to complete my tax return for the last year - haven't actually got very far as it's not my favourite job!
Lots of people advise me to pay an accountant but I've always struggled on and done it myself - no doubt missing out on lots of tax loopholes along the way. But as the figures are pretty small it never seems worth paying someone else ;¬)

I've been working for my self since 2003 and this is the first time that the Mileage tax allowance has increased! 40p up to 45p per mile.
It always hurts to declare my Google Adsense earnings but that's just one of those things! :¬(

My brother recently became self employed. Luckily one of his friends is an accountant, so he doesn't get charged much. So I guess the lesson is to get an accountant friend and see how far you can push them >.<
