Every now and again it's cool for a game to be, well... 'fun'. With the introduction of Disney Golf, I am amazed that Space Jam has never been made into a game. The difficulty of thinking up the game idea has already been done, just meaning that it just needs to be built. The games storyline would follow the film itself, in that some aliens have come to kidnap the Looney Toons, but they would only agree to go if they lost a game of basketball. Sounds easy huh! Not when the Aliens are near 8ft tall and could dunk on your FACE!!

You would start off playing possibly 1 on 1 basketball (In "Save the Looney Toons" mode) where you get the choice to play either Bugs Bunny or Miss Bunny (purrrr!). You then have to compete against the Aliens with each game getting harder and then you finishing of playing 1 on 2. When you have done this you are then allowed to unlock another Looney Toons character of your choice E.G Taz, Tweety Pie, Road Runner, sylvester the cat, elmer fudd etc With each having their own stats such as shooting, passing, speed, ball control etc, and each having their own range of hilarious dunks with matrix like effects. As you go through the game the basketball games become harder and slowly work up from 1 on 1 to 2 on 2 etc up to 5 on 5 which is the Main Event. If you've scored over 1000 or so points cumulative up to this stage you'll unlock Michael Jordan who you'll almost certainly need to beat the aliens.

During each game you'll have a Looney Toon metre which if you keep your finger on R2 will increase your 'Looneyness' and pressing the Square button will allow you to use your special move for that character. For example if you're playing Road Runner, build up your Looney metre, press Square, and see him speed down the court to the sound of "Mei Mei". Taz would do his Tazmanian Spin, Sylvester the Cat would eat the ball so that no one could steal it from him, Bugs could tunnel under the court and appear the other end etc. Once you complete the whole game you could then unlock either the one and only Bill Murry, or a choice of any of the B-Ballers that are in the film...Larry Bird, Mugsy Bogus, Charles Barkley etc.

The game should then have power-ups that appear thoughout each game on the court somewhere, that range from acme bombs, to some of Michael Jordans special stuff (water). The game would also benefit from a relatively good soundtrack, with Seals "Fly like an Eagle" taken from the film, but it could also incorporate some hard-core B-Balling tunes from the likes of the Afropuffs and Jermaine Du'Pre to get you dunking all over some alien butt. This is a game that would not only have brilliant gameplay but would also be undoubtedly hilarious.

So I have to ask....why hasn't this game already been made?

What's up Doc?

It has been made, it was a dreadful PSone sports game.

Oh well, back to the ol' drawing board eh? Better luck next time, eh?
