there are plenty of rare pokemon is there anything you want and if i know il tell and if in don't know il find out

I have a question. Say I caught five weak Pokemon, and my brother traded a starter Pokemon for one before reseting his game and repeating this process. Would that be classed as cheating? The object of the game is to catch and trade Pokemon afterall.
i wouldn't class it as cheatin like the aim the to catch tradeand train i mean i wouldn't have 228 pokemon without trading
