"Why are the gamecube graphics better than the Xbox?"

explanation please!!

I thought the Xbox had "the most powerfull graphics chip on the planet" if it does then it doesn't show it. Dead or Alive 3 looks proper mint but The gamecube graphics look alot more realistic and how can i put it "gamey". Resident Evil looks stunning with the flamethrower,water and all that and those parts are NOT pre-rendered but From what I've seen of the Xbox there's nothing there that my PC can't do!!

Am I the only one who thinks this??

The Gamecube's graphics are better then the X-Box's cos inside each Gamecube is a little family of pixie's who work their magic and make the games look like the best things ever seen!

The Xbox is more likely to crash than the other console, however. It uses a DirectX implementation, which is a set of DRIVERS to power the hardware, rather than it being powered directly. DirectX still has a few bugs in it, a new version seems to be released every time I buy a new game!

Yeah, I haven't got one but I've played one with Pikmin wich is a great game although the concepts are strange and the name is a blatant Pokémon take off.

Yeah, I do, and it is genuinely really good to play. Well, Luigi's Manion and Pikmin, the two games I have, are at least.

I reckon the X-Box will sell more, its got faster chips a huge hardrive and looks like my freezer (in black). But the gamecube has that guy-who-made-Zelda, Miyatimo something or other, but as the release game's were seriously bland (in America at least) with no one game stunners or continuations other than Dave Mirra and Tony Hawks (which are coming out [if not allready] on the other consoles); whereas the X-Box had DOA3,Dark Summit, Halo, Oddworld: Munches Oddesey and the batnman named Project Gotham Racing. The GameCube really has to work harder.

i doubt very much the x-box crashed on you. when a console is made they make sure that it won't crash. i've never had my PS1 or my new PS2 crash and even though the dreamcast used a modified version of windows ce normaly found in palms it never crashed easily.

seems to me that most people round here love nintendo and just want to see microsoft fall flat on there face. also they are completly different machines running different games so how can you compare graphics fairly anyway.

both machines curently have any stand out must have games so who knows how they'll sell on launch.

although gamecube has a slight head start as it is nintendo who have been around for donkeys years (i.e a long time)

it seems a little sad that we're still doing almost console wars type stuff. shame

Yes, but PCs suck at running games because they have to drive so much hardware. Not only has the game got to run but you have to run the whole thing through Windows, numerous drivers, scanners and possibly a software modem.

well maybe the screen shots you saw were not using the full power of the xbox graphics and were using the full power of the gamecube graphics. any xbox does not have the most powerful graphics chip on the planet the pc does.

I think that if all three next gen consoles are utilised to there full potential the xbox would be the winner as its specs are much higher than the other two and I dont think that the HDD would change much of the way PS2 games look but its good for cutting loading times.
