Hmmmm, just been reading a report on Games Online about the queue, or lack of, outside EB yesterday. Apparently, all of 10 people showed up at midnight to reserve their machine, in the hope it will be delivered in time for Chrimbo.

In case some of you have been living under a rock recently, yesterday was the first day that retailers across the country begun taking pre-orders for the PS2. However, it was stated that there were NO GUARANTEES that they would be able to deliver a machine in time for Christmas.

According to Games Online [http://www.computerandvideogames.com] a lot of consumers are either put off by the hefty £300 price tag or they are completely unaware that your supposed to pre-order your console. There's going to be a lot of disappointed people out there come November.

Should Sony put back the release of the PS2 to ensure a decent launch, with enough machines to go around? Once again, the UK are getting the rough end of the stick.

But then again, what's new?

200,000 units is better than none, but I agree Sony should have let us know more details about the pre-ordering scheme, which, by the way, is about as popular as the Sega CD add-on.

Daft idea, daft marketing, not like Sony at all, a real gaffe.

Perhaps they took on a lot of ex-Sega employees or something and the rot has started in the barrel.
