"PS2 Best Game Tournament"

This is a tournament to work out which game is the best according to us the gamers. I will write the brackets down for the tournament. You simply write in the number of votes each game has got according to the person who voted before, a vote means you want that game to advance. 4 Votes means the game advances, you will pick it up as we go along. Here are the brackets with my votes in brackets. My vote will say (1) next to it if you agree with me change it to a 2 if you disagree put a (1) next to the other game. I hope this is clear for you all.

Thats ok...i quite like the idea.....it lets u see that popular games aren't always everones favourites.

Several points that need to be brought up:

1) GTA3 will almost certainly be the winner, even though I disagree, so its wasting time.

2) All this (1) and (2) stuff will mean constantly checking back each time. You might as well just delete your least favourite of the two, and leave the better one.

3) You needed some seeding in order to make the final more realistic. Having Jak and Daxter versus GTA3 in the first round is like putting Sampras and Hewitt together in the first round of Wimbledon.

4) Voting for the best game never really works with such a small number of people voting anyway. Perhaps a better tactic would be to take the average percentage each game has scored in reviews, thus showing the "better" game, rather than the "prefered" game. This way you`d have genuinely good games such as Gran Turismo 3, Tony Hawks 3, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Devil May Cry up at the top.

5) My point above brings up Metal Gear Solid 2. Whilst I suppose this is excusable as it is already released in the states, I am fairly certain that Wipeout Fusion hasn`t yet been released anywhere, and is therefore impossible to truly compare to other games.

Anyone for a new approach?

Can I ask what is the point of comparing two completely random and different games?
