So is this a false email or a genuine one from Freeola?
Please beware of misleading domain invoices from other companies.
As your domain is nearing expiry, other companies like the Domain Registry Of America may contact you with unsolicited invoices which attempt to mislead you into transferring your domain to them for renewal at an inflated cost. We have not supplied any of your contact details to these companies, it is their practice to pick out contact details from the online domain registration records. THE ACTIONS OF THESE COMPANIES HAVE BEEN CONDEMNED, AND ARE THE SUBJECT OF MANY COMPLAINTS TO TRADING AND ADVERTISING STANDARDS AGENCIES. YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO IGNORE THEM.
Don't trust anyone but Get Dotted for domain name registrations and renewals.
The renewal date of your domain is shown above, but you can pay the renewal fee early if you wish at the Get Dotted Renewals page. Before your domain is due for renewal you will be contacted by Freeola & Get Dotted by e-mail and post. Our reminders are sent from about 60 days prior to renewal. Please note Freeola cannot offer free services in respect of domains renewed with other companies.
Free domain hosting with unlimited web space & e-mail with Freeola!
If you wish to update your contact details for this domain, or set up free hosting with Freeola if you haven't already, you can control your settings by logging into MyFreeola. In the meantime, if you receive seemingly official demands or letters from other companies suggesting that you may lose your domain, then please ignore them.
Kev
Do a google for 'domain registry of america' if you want to see what can happen if you get a scam renewal notice and believe it.
Don't worry that's a real email from Freeola.
It's not a renewal reminder, but a warning that as it gets closer to renewal other dodgy emails (or letters) may arrive (not from Freeola) trying to get you to renew via them, rather than Freeola.
If you login directly to MyFreeola (to avoid any phishing scams), and not by clicking any email links, and renew from there you can't go wrong!
