Not in my day buddy, just let her tag along to the pub with your mates and ignore her for half the night. Just to see if she's really interested in you, or if she's only interested in what you can do for her.
Cinema's are good for first dates for the simple reason that you don't have to talk much, but if the film is good she'll think she's had a good night, and you're the reason. Movie and ice cream works well, but probably not so well in December.
