For recent years, games have been using not just any soundtrack, but a soundtrack more on the lines of a movie. You may wonder what I mean by this. Well, if you take a look at Silent Hill 2’s soundtrack, or even the soundtrack from the upcoming XBOX title, Halo, the first thing you will notice are the emotional and heroic themes in which these games provide. For instance…I really admire the music score for Silent Hill 2, it’s so unique, and it’s by far the most emotional music score for a videogame yet. In regards to Halo, well…imagine that you are in a world of your own, in a very atmospheric environment, where you play the hero who embarks with a group of soldiers to save humanity.
It’s just fantastic to see how game developers take things seriously when making a title worthwhile. The more serious they are about developing a game, the better the game will be. It’s been proven already. If you look at a low-rated game, you’ll realise that it’s been terribly developed by its presentation and gameplay, but when it comes to high-rated games, you can see where its strength lies. So it all comes do this…
It’s not only the gameplay and it’s not just the graphics that are the absences of a game, but knowing that you are treated with a crushing soundtrack and presentation is what makes all the difference in videogames nowadays.
Thanks for reading, and I hope everyone enjoyed this topic.
I look forward for your return to The GAD Realm.
