As you may know many PS3 Owners have been waiting on Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, It was scheduled to come out on the PS3 on the 23rd March 2007, but it has got pushed back many times, and it was officially released on the 29th June 2007.

I for one havent played a Tom Clancy game before, so it was all new for me , basically if you havent played this type of game before , you play as Rainbow operatives you take to the chaotic streets of Las Vegas as an escalating terrorist siege in Sin City threatens to take world terrorism. The future of global security hangs in the balance as you battle to defend classic Vegas locations and environments like Fremont Street, the Strip, and casinos.

I also found out this was out on the XBOX 360 but i havent played that version either so i cannot compare the two, but anyway i went out and got this game for the PS3.
So after putting the game into the PS3 i noticed that if you have your HDTV setting on 1080i the picture looks grainy and blurry and the writing also seems to be very blurry while playing the game, so after fiddling about just untick the 1080i option on your PS3 XMB , and let the game run in 720p , once this is done the graphics are much sharper and chrisp and the writing is much more clearer, hopefully an update in the near future will sort this problem out.

I then went and played it online for at least three hours without any problems, the first thing you come to is customising your character to play online , for example what they wear, the protective clothes, which guns they prefer to use, after you have completed this i went on quick match and it took me straight into a game , the most surprising thing was that I was able to chat with American players without any voice-lag or glitching , Smooth as a very smooth thing in fact, Graphically its not that breathtaking compared to playing the single player campaign , but things are still crisp enough to get some good shots in. There are many different online games you can take part in such as Assault VS Defence , CO OP Story , Assisanation , plus lots more , as ive only had this game a day there is lots to explore, things to unlock and different modes to play.

so back to offline play, you can play split screen with anyone on your same PS3 so you can play through the whole game together, abit like Resistance Fall Of Man.This is fun and its a laugh when your parter gets shot and you do aswell and have to restart the whole mission again! Practice makes Perfect! When i started the single player campaign after playing for a few minutes i realised that this game is a more tactical shooter than going in full hog and shooting at anything , the game doesnt seem so easy as say Resistance Fall Of Man , it takes a few attempts to do a certain mission as alot of PS3 Rainbow Six Owners are finding out. The graphics are good i dont feel they are quite upto the PS3 standards at the moment but they are impressive at times, the Gameplay is very good and impressive bearing in mind you have to look around before progressing otherwise your just going to get killed, the online part seems just as good with no lag , been able to play through missions with people in the US Etc, being able to customise your character , to winning medals and completing challenges.

Overall, this game is very good, its got good graphics, nice online mode , plenty of things to play through both online and off, if you havent played one of these games before i think you should either rent it out or go and buy it yourself. I give the following ratings for this game :

Graphics: 8/10
Sound: 7/10
Gameplay: 9/10
Online/multiplayer: 9/10
Lifespan: 9/10
