Can video games be as emotionnaly gripping as a movie?
I believe they can the movie business has had a long time to mature and the Gaming industry is still pretty young.
Games and Movies seem to be enjoying a stronger relationship now than ever.
The RPG series, particuarly Final Fantasy is pioneering emotion in video games. Soon we may see the emotional content in games take a drastic change as more emphasis is placed on this. The games will be able to move us and get us experiencing gaming on a different level. What we have to remember is that Movies and Videogames are seperate and should be kept seperate. The outcome of a videogame depends on the player.

Part of the thrill of a movie is that you sit there for 2 hours then that's it. I'd be disappointed if I bought a game and could only get 2 hours from it. Games should be more like long running TV series, with cliffhangers, and suitable places to break the story.
