"P.N.03 and Soul Calibur 2 arrived yesterday......impressions inside...."

i recieved my copy yest4erday and within 2hrs and 56mins i had finished it on easy.
tried it on hard after and it was a great deal harder!

after finishing on easy i recieved the balckbird suit and its powered up to the max on all
Energy, palm shot, and barrier all full.

All in all a great game, it addds something new and fresh to the gamecube, and its hard to comparet o any other game!
the graphics are amazing and the detail is impressive.
loading times are ok, not slow and not quick, but good.
sound is awesome, with a great mix of drum and bass and techno-ish background music!


Also recieved Soul Calibur 2 and i have to say it is very good! i have finished it with 4 characters so far.
Link is playable fromt he get go and so far he is my fave character.
with Astaroth a close 2nd.

Here's what you've got to do:

*Is the one your after I think...

1) Attack with A
2) Attack with B
3) Attack with K
4) Guard an Attack
5) Circle around enemy using 8-way movement*
6) Throw (A+G or B+G)
7) Weapon Attack (you'll be Guard Impacted)
8) Guard Impact (Forward + G to block high, Back + G to block low)
9) Soul Charge (A+B+K)

well, in P.N.03 it is easy to save, as all menus are in english!

as for replay value, i love it, and i admit i havent played it since i finished it, but thats cos i have been away or working
i will go through it again on normla and hard soon tho, i want the new "one hit kills" suit, will make it much more challenging!

as for weapon master, i havent got past the first one!
i cant figure out what to do after the 4th lesson!

you know with Edgar, you have the punch, kick, block, throw and grab etc, i cant figure out what to do when he is trying to hit me, i think its a counter attack but i cant get it to work!

I'm waiting on my SCII Hori Stick before I play this. Can't play these types of games on a pad. It's just...wrong.

Been playing Wind Waker all weekend though...

How do you Save in P.N.03?? Is the save menu in English?? Soul Claibur 2 has the menu in English where you can do Autosave, is this the same for P.N.0.3 and is it easy to save?? Thanks, i'm thinking of buying it you see, it's had mixed reviews either quite good to dissapointing but that's there opinion, thanks for the info!! :)

Is there alot to do in P.N.03?? I mean once you have completed it, do you want to go back and do it again? Also is it difficult to control the main character (you can't shoot and move at the same time,can you?)

Yes i had the same problem but don't worry, that's the only level where you have to do button combinations, all the other one's is just to win!! There's loads to unlock: Take Link for example, he starts off in green but you can win Red, Blue and Purple outfits (i have they look fab) and loads of weapons including the Huge Goron sword seen in Ocarina of time and a net!!! If your interested in the Story's behind each character then sadly it's in Japanese other then that it's a great Import game which is so easy to use it's unbelievable, god knows why it's taking so long to get here!!

Also if the Mission briefings are in Japanese, how do you know what to do?? Is it just simply getting to the end of the level??? Thanks.

i have managed, punch, kick, block and counter etc, but then the Edgar guy (mitsurugi) starts attacking and i cant figure out what i got to do!
any ideas?

What about Weapons Master mode, which is heavy on the Japanese text? Even I had a job working through it at first. But, other than that, I'd be inclined to agree with you.

there is quite a bit to do yeah, although it does get samey!
