I share a database which is hosted elsewhere and need to access the data from my hosted webpages for updates.

I have tested the connection on a home server and all is well but I get
"Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'myserver.com' (13) in /freeola/users/9/2/srmynumber/htdocs/mysqltest.php on line 1
Could not connect to MySQL: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'myserver.com' (13)

Help really appreciated as this is what I joined for!

Doesn't appear this is going to be possible I'm afraid.....

We have our own SQL service that you can use, which will work with as many web sites as you want.

This can be added from within your MyFreeola account via the Optional MySQL link in the left page navigation.

Optional MySQL costs £3 ex VAT per month.

Thanks for response, dissapointing though it is. Does it say that it's not available anywhere?

I thought I'd looked around pretty thoroughly but I saw nothing.
