obviously it wouldn't fit, but i heard i could make it work.
i got my dads tin snips and trimmed the excess bits off, equally from both sides. I ground the rough edges off with glass paper. And now it fits !
but when i switch on my pc i get no video.

Take the case off, get a hose pipe from ouside, and spray the computer with water. Make sure that all electrics are plugged in and switched on or this will not work.
If you see smoke and blue sparks, you are using the wrong sort of water.
Try putting it in one of the RAM slots. That will solve the problem. You may also need to soak it in lighter fluid, as a coolant.

ok i did that, and I heard a large bang. does this also mean I'm using the wrong water. perhaps de-ionised car battery water is more suitable?
