I've not been listening to the radio, I have no MTV any more (end of democracy, back to the old days).
Someone sent me a link to this.
I'm surprised and (moderately) impressed.
Is this guy well known, and has a glorious genre of dance-goth without gay screaming arisen from the ashes of lame goth?
But Industrial/Electronic music has always been a part of the 'goth' scene. There's a bunch of genres, but I forget exactly what they're called and I'm damned if I know the difference between them all. Industrial/Electro-Clash/EBM (Electronic Body Music I think that stands for?).
Could check out The Faint. They're slightly less 'gothy', but they play (generally) dark music with electronic bits. I'd recommend the tracks 'Violent' and 'Agenda Suicide', although the latter does have a little bit of a scream at the end... :O
Also some band has recently got big, like played on Radio1 etc. that play wierd electro-dance-emo... I'm sure there are other 'big' bands that play dancey-emo stuff but this band are apparently the 'heavier' brand of emo. I can't remember their name, but I heard a song on the radio after hearing their name many times from various places, but I wasn't too impressed.
Enter Shikari, that's their name. Yer, you could look at them, again, less 'goth' more 'emo', but I wasn't too impressed with the song of theirs I heard.
