My brother said i can't save animal crossing on my 251 block english memory card however my freind says i can

But with the way you did it you should have done the same for both.

ie. NTSC USA & NTSC Japan.

Instead of just saying USA, it makes it look like a third format, and while it is to some extent, it's not a completely different thing.

NTSC japan. IF you want to get technically USA is essentailly a different type of NTSC something on a different frequency..

USA is NTSC too.

AC has it's own memory card concealed inside the box.

USA + PAL = OK
PAL + USA + OK

NTSC (japan) + PAL = NO
PAL + NTSC (japan)= NO

USA + NTSC (japan)= NO
NTSC (japan)+ USA = NO

American and PAL games should save on the same card no problems, its Japanese games you should worry about.

Animal Crossing comes with it's own preformatted memory card for you to use.

YOu can't, unless you've saved several other NTSC games to that card. The Gamecube will re-format the card to allow NTSC saves to be stored on it, this will delete the rest of your dataq, so, you can either buy a brand new card, or use the card that came with it.
