Doughnuts wityh fillings are good, but it depends on the filling, i guess thats the same with the icing topping...
not if your eating them lying on your back and have your mouth open waiting to catch the dribbles
If you have filled dognuts there's always the possibility of them exploding down your trousers when you take the first bite.

I back jam doughnuts. But a close second are fudge doughnuts with custard in the middle. Rings just feel like a con.
