I have many web sites linking to my Freeola hosted web site at http://www.north-cornwall.co.uk, but Google counts only 7 sites using the link tool.

This means that I only get around 20 visits a day when before (a few years ago) we were getting over 100 visits a day!

Can anyone suggest how I can improve the situation as I am now losing money.

What do other people think about the PageRank tool, It does not make any sense to me that some pages get a PR of 3 whilst other pages get 0.

It's quite well known that the Google LINK: command hasn't been accurate for quite a while now. Google have acknowledged this themselves and advise you to check links using their Webmaster Tools (sign up for a free account with Google).

I've just checked one of my sites and it shows 6 links using LINK: but within Webmaster Tools it shows Google actually knows about 54 and goes on to list them all.

NB. Don't pay too much attention to Google PR - it's not always relevant.

Hi Mark

Google & Web surfing is not the only way to attract visitors.

Have you tried offering to set up reciprocal links with similar yet non-competing sites?

Harvesting eMail addresses from the Web & then... How about some eMail Marketing?

Very pleased
Very pleased with the help given by your staff. They explained technical details in an easy way and were patient when providing information to a non expert like me.
