Well maybe not, but it's disappointing to see it well under 100 posts a day this week. It's not a bank holiday and it's not summer yet. So what are you all up to?

I thought Bingo would get you all chatting, when it was launched we got a good few hundred posts. Now it's just the odd, "What were the numbers yesterday?" =(

How can we encourage you all to post more without having to pay you?

It's picked up a bit recently might be because of the school holidays though....

I've already mentioned broadening our demographics and perhaps revising the forums from being solely focused on gamers, to include more specific family, fashion, and food forums. I believe it will atleast generate more interest. These current forums are too broad, which predominantly attracks nothing but lurkers who don't really know what to say or what sort of reception they'll get from the seemingly clique-ish environment. Sorry, I love you guys, truly I do.

Regardless, witholding the GAD prize from certain people because they're no longer in the UK vicinity is just forthright crap. In the absence of the shop front to generate patrons, the least Freeola can do is extend it's hand in stewartship.

When the forum was attached to a shop, there was a natural draw.
People came for the shop, and stayed for the forums.

Now, there's no real draw, and natural wastage happens over time.

Plus there's less of a built-in natural topic of conversation.


Perhaps if freeola 'relaunched' the site as a standalone web chat forum, so it could court the general chatting internet crowd, or attached it to some other more interesting site, traffic would pick up.


Or maybe with msn and all that jazz, you can't have a chat forum without a decent draw like a shop.

Feel free to bring any of these along. Preferably include rat poison, crap rock, dirty dancing, russian roultette/kiss chase and necrophila. But anything will be fine.
