Masahiro Sakurai: (Creator of the original Super Smash Bro.)

- I have submitted my resignation to HAL.
- I have not determined what I'll do next.
- I left at my own free will, and not on the behalf of others.
- I felt that under the current structure (HAL), it is difficult to work on games. (~reference to HAL increasing staff members?)
- I have more sense of freedom working with others creators.
- President President Iwata is disapointed, but he will still supports my decision.
- Every company has an achivement goal set, for company to make profits, they have to make the right games. (not sure about this part, couldn't really understands it fully.)
- I have no intention of becoming a member or developer at a new company.
- But I want to aid developers in making games. (?)
- I am thinking of taking light work at the moment, like freelance.
- I want fans to understand that I make games from the feedback I received from other people, and I make them for users, not for developers or companies.
- There's already some interesting employment oppertunities coming.
- Kibry will continue at HAL, I do not know about future Super Smash Bros. games.
- I am very optimistic right now.

The reason he left was thanks to undue criticism towards Kirby's Air Ride.

Your exactly right, I read that this game had caused lots of internal wranglings at HAL due to varing opinions - even thought Famitsu scored it higher than F Zero GX.

And Tony, your subject name made it sound like he had a painful STD !
