It must be better than the pap that ITV1 and BBC1 are serving us, GI Jane and Lost In Space.
FANTASTIC!
I hadn't seen it before, so I don't know if any bits were cut or not, but what I saw was great!
Initially the idea may sound like it has more holes than an Isreali (sp?) tower block. It's the future, and a new games system is launched which plugs directly into your spine, giving electronic signals straight to your brain.
Because of this method the games seem more real than ever before, so real that they people playing get confused as to whether they're actually in the game or still in real life.
As I said, the idea sounds stupid and confusing, but it was pulled off well.
The acting, while not amzingly fantastic, is good and does the job well. The plot has more twists than a plateful of spaghetti, and even at the end you're not 100% sure whats actually happening.
But it all seems to fall into place, it works. The ending is possibly set up for a sequel, which may not be a bad thing - depending on how it's done.
All in all a great film and I'm glad I watched it.

G.I. Jane was good. Everyone told me it was good so I watched it and was really impressed. It wasn't until the credits at the end that I realised it was a Ridley Scott film either. G.I. Jane thought SHE went through hell. Pffff....that was nothing. Try sitting through Lost in Space at the cinema.
NNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Try sitting through

I had sod all to do last night, so I actually watched Lost In Space as I hadn't seen it before.
Ok, it wasn't amzing, but it wasn't THAT bad. The story was pretty cliched (like, using EVERY cliche, ever) but it was the perfect film to just sit in front of and switch off.
Mind you, there was one redeeming feature. Gary Oldman. He is just THE man. Although even his presence could not save the film.
:)
Willem Dafoe and Jude Law rule.

You appear to have confused to words, Mnemonic and Pneumatic. Johnny Mnemonic is a Cronenberg film. Johnny Pneumatic is probably a porn film. Johnny Pneumonic is their mutant hybrid son, part action thriller, part dodgy blue film.
