You should never try and fix your PS2 yourself, you should of rang Sony up and got a reconditioned one. You'll probably have to buy a brand new one now.

The silver tape inside is the eject ribbon, if you broke this then you need to get a new one to replace it. Some specialist places have them.
Chances are you have messed up more than just this though if you took it apart yourself without looking into whats inside and what not to touch.

My Playstation 2 broke when I tried taking it apart of fix it, you know, clean the lense with rubbing alcohol b/c of Disk Read Error. Well I ripped off the silver tape, but I hooked it back together. Now I put the thing back together and only the blue light comes on, it won't go to green. Someone Help me
