England's young players crossed the rubicon last night and came of age. The future looks bright.
We should remember though that Germany is a team full of mediocre players. Their only world-class player is Oliver Khan. The rest of them would not get in the first teams of Man Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal.
Still, 5-1 on German soil is still a superb victory.

i read somthin stupid in the daily mirror today. they were saying how none of the strikers in the world have a goal scoring record equal to Owen at International level. have they gone mental?! they actually mentioned the likes of Batistuta in that article too.
Owen has scored 13 goals in somthin like 30+ games. Hardly world class. Batistuta has scored 50+ goals in somthin like 70 games. no comparison really.
