And that ain't a bad thing by any means.
Are there lyrics that describe you? A point in your life? Some that match how you felt at a time and spoke to you?
There are several for me, scarily accurate like there were written after peering into my head.
No Surprises - Radiohead
"a heart that's full up like a landfill a job that slowly kills you..bruises that won't heal, you look so tired_nhappy..bring down the government, they dont speak for us.."
Pretty much describes how I felt before I found my girlfriend, just too much going on in the world that got me down, upset me and there was nothing it seemed I could do about it.
Karma Police - Radiohead
"arrest this man, he talks in math he buzzes like a fridge"
How I feel when I come home most days after work, just a head full of static and noise of things that don't matter.
I go sit and listen to music for 20 mins until I can think again and have found my voice that says "it doesnt matter dude, just a job, let it go"
Can't Bring Me Down - Suicidal Tendencies
"Just 'cos you don't understand what's going on, don't mean it don't make no sense and just 'cos you don't like it, don't mean it ain't no good"
My mental state.
Everything isn't for everyone, but that don't make me right or you wrong.
Everybody Hurts - REM
"When the day is long..and the night is yours alone, when you've had enough of this life, well hold on. Don't let yourself go, 'cause everybody cries and everybody hurts sometimes"
For moments when it's 2am and sleep is a million miles away, monsters speak and nobody can hear you cry for help.
That's all I will say on this one.
Ok, I've had enough of this topic now, let's hear yours.

I'll get back to you on that one later this morning :D
- Longpigs, Blue Skies.
Describes a kind of sick paranoia that controls my head.
'And people don't understand
Your Girlfriends they can't understand
Your Grandsons they won't understand
On top of this you won't ever understand.'
-Last Nite, The Strokes.
It's true though, when you are feeling down, no-one can really understand.
Most of the lyrics I write describe me best, most of my songs are Autobiographical.
"My deodorant hides the real me
These things elevate me above the animals"
It's true, I do smell. But I'll never be above a monkey.
Explosives duct taped to my spine
Nothing's gonna change my mind.
I won't listen to anyone's last words,
There's nothing left for you to say
Soon you'll be dead anyway.
No one is getting out alive,
This time I've lost my mind and i don't care,
So close your eyes and kiss yourself goodbye,
And think about the times you spent
And what they meant.
To me it's nothing.
I'm losing all my happiness,
The happiness you pinned on me
Loneliness still comforts me.
My anger dwells inside of me
I'm taking it all out on you and
all the (stuff) you put me through.
Do you ever think back to another time?
Did it bring you so down that
you thought you lost your mind?
Do you ever want to lead a long trail
of destruction and mow down any (stuff) that
confronts you?
Do you ever build up all the small things
in your head,
To make one problem that all adds up to nothing?"
Green Day - Having a Blast
(stuff) replaces the actual lyrics used.
The song's called "Hole In My Head" by Feeder, and is on their third album "Yesterday Went Too Soon."
Remember yesterday?
Driving down the M4
The sun lit up your face
Playing all the tunes
Feeling like a child again
The pain has been erased
I feel much better anyhow
Until I see that black cloud
I got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole in my head and the world keeps looking in
Got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps crashing in
Stop looking in
Hide it all away
Keeping your heart inside a box
That no one else can take
Smile it all the way
Holding back a thousand lies
But that was yesterday
I love it when she comes around
Until I see that black cloud
I got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole in my head and the world keeps looking in
Got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps crashing in
Got a hole in my head
Got this song in my head
Waiting for the sun to come around
Waiting for the sun to come around
Take another smoke
I though you said you'd give up?
And does your mother know?
Take another rest
Holding out my hand again
I hope that we're still friends
I got a, I got a, I got a, I got a...
I got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole in my head and the world keeps looking in
Got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps crashing in
I got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole in my head and the world keeps looking in
Got a hole in my head
And it's making me sad
Got a hole and the world keeps crashing in.
"Polythene, polythene girl

I'm breaking the seal, never thought I would"
Taken from "Polythene" by Feeder.
