Is the 29" TV less smooth than the 21" TV when using the ps2 ?

s-video is a good step up from the regular composite picture - whether or not it is good enough for you, is up to you, but it probably will be.

I have a question, for those who tried the S-video. Now there are many problems with 50HZ, which are not in the 60 HZ, the one that bothers me is the screen sharpness, now apart from the extra features of the RGB, does the S-video solve the sharpness problem ?

RGB is the best on offer for the UK, the silly tassel saying otherwise is wrong.

No they don't have it in the US, and it's there loss. That is why component is more popular in the states, so they can get a picture better than s-video. Component is not as essential over here because we have RGB scart. Disagree if you like. I've tried and tested both cables in my home.

Besides, you're acting all knowledgable again... pretty surprising considering at the start of this topic you were asking if the TV size would affect the picture quality!

I disagree. The RGB is supposed to level PAL games with 60 HZ NTSC games in terms of smoothness of the picture and the colour brightness, so they don't need it in the American market, and that's whu US TV's don't have RGB sockets in the first place, while the S-video is sold in both the european and the US market, so it must have the ability to improve the picture even when it is in full 60 HZ, otherwise they wouldn't sell it in the US.

Then you weren't using a fully RGB scart cable... it was probably the standard PS2 affair (which is rubbish). Also many TVs have 2 or three scart sockets, but usually only one will be RGB.

It kicks the ar$e off an s-video picture.
