Control pads were meant to be utilised by the gamer,not become stale and un-used.The one button that is subject to this is the select button.....Lets be honest,who uses the damn thing.i for sure dont.It is so pointless to put it in,never gets used.Who here agress with me?....I wish Sony wouldnt put the rubber in my pad.......

That depends on the games you play, doesn't it?
It's used in Onimusha to bring up the Options screen; Madden NFL 2001 uses it to call Timeouts.
I'm sure theer are many more uses in other games, but I can't think of them at the moment.

It brings up the rear view when playing KKK on the GBA.
Some games require less buttons than others.
Surely theres some gamesthat require you to use the 'select' button?
I know that it was handy in tons of NES and SNES games!
Mind you, if it wasn't there a different button would have done the same thing...

That is a rather bad abbreviation...
Unless the game is really about the KKK, but we wouldn't expect that on a Nintendo console, that would be like Disney releasing porn...

I just realised i actually got it wrong. KKK is Kuru Kuru Kurin, some stick game.
