But, enough of that: random thoughts -
There's a massive MGS3 trailer (about 15 minutes actually).
And now I'm actually excited.
There was young Ocelot, in a gay red scarf, twirling a non-revolver around - then juggling 3 after a close encounter with fresh-faced snake.
Some weird woman with a horse - friend or foe of snake, it wasn't clear.
Some electric guy with a claw.
Very impressive - needless to say, I actually got all tingley when the MGS2 intro music came on. 'Tis a wonderful choon.
Saw Burnout 3 running for the first time. Looks bloody fantastic, and just watching it go made me more on edge (the sense of speed, the near misses) than actually playing 2 ever did.
Although the take-out thing could get pretty annoying.
A pretty decent E3 round-up, showing the best from the best companies. The Movies I almost completely forgot about, but is looking pretty damn sweet.
And Ace Combat 5, of course. I almost creamed over this one, what a game. Although the main guy is called something crap like Loveless of something equally gay
He'll never beat Mobius 1.
Loads of in-game footage of shiz life Jak 3 and R&C 3 running. THUG2, Getaway 2.
Tekken 5, opening with "Heihatchi Mashima ..... is dead" (excuse off-the-top-of-my-head spelling) although I think the game is past it.
Reviews were pretty limp.
But good stuff.
Discuss.
Although the lead looks like a girl. Again
Why?

It was crap since 8 came out, 9 was average and X was awful. Enix weren't with Square when those came out. Square are to blame and no one else. Enix are still making great RPG's with Star Ocean 3 and Dragon Quest VIII. Square have just become far to relaxed and don't care anymore
So you think that FF got poor when Square merged with Enix by coincidence?
We'll see how FF12 turns out, before we judge this dying series.
> FF Tactics has terrible gtaphics.
Not in my opinion, i think it has aged far better then the 'life like' graphics of 8 but then everyone who has read my opinions on games know i prefer sprites over polygon figures in RPG's anyday.
Plus anyway, there's a little thing called gameplay which is far more important and Tactics has great gameplay
Enix are a great company and if you take the Dragon Quest series as a whole compared to the Final Fantasy one it stomps all over it and then does a merry jig. Star Ocean 3 will probably become the best turn based RPG when it gets released over in America in August (not saying the best RPG as that accolade goes to Disgaea in my opinion)
I think Square are in danger of turning into the EA of the RPG world (if they haven't already) where they just churn out mediocre game after mediocre game knowing no matter what the game will sell on the name alone while lesser known series like Suikoden, Xenosaga, Star Ocean and Front Mission get overlooked (in the rare event they actually get a Euro release)
These games have a great storyline which probably makes the games so great.

They're actually the two I like best.
:)
X-2 was trying a new direction, as was CC. Both failed, but at least they tried.
And the FF series is about the only decent games Square ever made - look at Chocobo Racing for feck's sake. Energeiz? The Bouncer?
Lump Kingdom Hearts with these, if you want - or in the section above.
The Enix merge gives both companies more power - to see the decent Enix games (perhaps) reach PAL lands. And (hopefully) to give Square more bottle to release much-needed games like Front Misson over here too.
The merge is only a good thing, not to be blamed for the bad games made - especially looking at Square's past record.
